HFA is the foremost mechanical licensing, collections, and distribution agency for U.S. music publishers. Our processes, culture, and technology are client-driven and results-oriented. We continually strive to add value and strength to the music rights industry.
 

• International Publisher Agent:HFA provides collection and monitoring services for those publishers who do not have representation in certain territories. (Click here for a list of the foreign societies and the territories that they represent.) This process is initiated once the publisher has submitted a Notification of Foreign Activity.
• Invoice, Collect, and Distribute:Where there is not a society in place to collect and monitor mechanical royalties and uses, manufacturers require an invoice for payment. HFA creates and submits this invoice, then collects and distributes the royalties to its publishers
• Inquiry Liaison:HFA acts as a liaison with foreign societies to research publisher concerns. Due to the varying degree of requirements for each country, HFA acts as a comprehensive resource for addressing general questions regarding international licensing procedures in over 100 countries.
